The museum outlines the triumph days of the Johor Sultanate, which begin due to the fall of the Malaccan Sultanate in 1511 where the Empire falls to the Portuguese.
The Grand Palace of Johor, also known as the Istana Besar is built in 1866. It is constructed by Sultan Abu Bakar who is the greatest and most influential leader of Johor in the early days.
Pasir Gudang Kite Museum, Johor is also known as Muzium Layang-Layang by the locals. It is located on top of a hill, affectionally known as the Bukit Layang-Layang.
