Bungalows on Fraser’s Hill, Pahang, Malaysia

Fraser’s Hill has an extensive collection of English homes left over from the colonial era. The Gap Rest House is one such mansion. It was closed momentarily for refurbishment. However work mysteriously stopped and till today, it remains unfinished. The interior halls and rooms are in disarray, but the exterior walls and roofs are intact, making it a curious attraction for visitors. The English homes are distinctly built with sharp triangular roofs that are typical of Scottish countryside cottages. The houses double up as guest homes to travellers to experience living in an English home in the present day.
