Bukit Tinggi, Pahang, Malaysia is amongst the newest Highlands in Malaysia. Located on the Titiwangsa Range, it is at an altitude of 800 to 1000m. Travellers can enjoy the cooling weather of about 20 degrees annually, making the hill an ideal get away from the city.

Also known as Berjaya Hills, developers of Bukit Tinggi wanted to bring different overseas aspects and characteristics to Malaysia. The hill models after Colmar, a medieval French village in Alsace, France. The main attraction on the hill is the Colmar Tropicale Resort and it moulds after European-style architecture where a cobblestone courtyard lined with cafes, restaurants and shops around the square. There are numerous street performances and live bands around the plaza, bringing a whole new European experience to travellers.

There are various activities to do at Bukit Tinggi. Visitors can experience horse riding at Berjaya Hills. The Horse Trails is the ideal place to saddle up and discover the beauty of the surrounding countryside. There is also an adventure park where adrenaline seekers can experience outdoor activities such as the flying fox, paintball and high rope obstacle course.
Japanese Village, Colmar Tropicale, Bukit Tinggi
The Japanese Village on Bukit Tinggi is the first of its kind outside Japan. A Japanese architect designed the village and gardens. A tranquil and relaxing retreat, the garden is enclosed within a lush tropical rainforest. It features attractions such as Japanese Tea House, Tatami Spa and the Botanical Garden. There are also 4 Tea Ceremony sessions held daily, and guests get to learn a little more about the Japanese tea culture. Travellers can also rent a Kimono and take a picture for remembrance.
