Gunung Ledang National Park (Bt 28, Jalan Segamat, 84020 Sagil, Tangkak, Johor Darul Ta’zim.) is synonymous to Mt Ophir, the highest peak in Johor. The park opens daily from 8 am to 5 pm and entrance fees cost RM 1.00 per person and RM 2.00 per car. If you are interested in scaling the mountain, it is compulsory to hire a guide and other fees are involved.
The mountain stands at 1,276m (4,186 ft) and is a popular destination for avid climbers. The climb the mountain varies from easier jungle trails to tougher (and more interesting) sections of big boulders and steep trails which can be conquered with ropes and ladders.
Non-adventure seekers can explore the Sagil waterfall, a favourite picnic spot or take a 20-minute hike to the splendid Puteri waterfalls. The walk is family friendly and safe. Lanes and steps have been cut out amid the dense forest. The waterfall is about 50m high and opens up to natural pools at the bottom. It is the perfect location to soak away your stress and bask in the nature wonders of the Gunung Ledang National Park.
