Broga Hill, Selangor is a small hill that is about 400 metres high. The climb to the top of the hill is relatively easy, taking between 30 minutes to an hour. However, it is steep and challenging, enough to get the heart pumping hard. Despite the short height, the view from the top of the hill is a great one. Visitors get an unblocked panoramic view of the landscape of the lush valleys of rainforest and nearby towns.
Broga Hill, Selangor
One of the unique features of Broga Hill, Selangor is that it is covered in Lalang grass. As a result, locals also call the hill Bukit Lalang in Malay. There are three peaks on the hill, measuring 268 metres, 350 metres and 400 metres respectively. Unlike other hills, there are no trees on Broga Hill, providing an unblocked view. It is a perfect location to catch the sunrise as well as nearby villages, palm oil plantations and rainforest.
The trail up the hill is easy to follow, and climbers should stay on the path to avoid further damage to the area. For fitter hikers, there is a well-marked jungle trail that leads the top of Gunung Tok Wan. Gunung Tok Wan stands at 675 meters, and it takes about one and a half to reach. On the way down, there are small local stalls selling drinks. You can grab a cold coconut drink to quench your thirst.
